In 1981, OSS 117 (The Artist's Oscar-winner Jean Dujardin) is sent on a mission to Africa to help out a president under attack from rebels. Along the way, he has to contend with the rise of feminism, computer technology and the Cold War, as well as the arrival of a younger rival.
